• Beginner Level (Foundational course)

The main goal of the course is to guide you from a state of complete programming illiteracy (no knowledge of programming) to a level of programming knowledge which allows you to design, write, debug, and run programs encoded in the Python programming language, and to understand the basic concepts of software development technology. 

This course prepares you for the PCEP – Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer certification exam (PCEP-30-01).

The course will prepare you for entry-level jobs and careers connected with widely understood software development, which includes not only creating the code itself as a junior developer, but also computer systems design and software testing.

A learnership is a work-based education and training program that is relevant to a qualification registered on the National Qualification Framework (NQF) with the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).

Skills development program is a process that aims to improve employee’s skills and productivity in the workplace. This program is an occupation based learning program aimed at building skills that have economic value and which incorporates at least one-unit standard.

The importance of skills development program:

• Reduces unemployment rate
• Increases productivity
• Improves standards of living

Code SA offers skills development program for a duration of 3 months.

This program can be changed into a qualification if one is interested in pursuing the completion of the remaining unit-standards, and training is offered by an accredited provider.

An internship is a short-term program that is designed for University and FET college graduates. It provides an opportunity for students to extend their academic qualification through structured workplace exposure and specialized training.

CodeSA uses the Internship program to offer unemployed graduates work experience to empower them with practical training knowledge equivalent with their qualifications.

Teachers Development Programs help teachers to adopt more effective teaching practices that improve the learning experience of students.

We track the results and not just the development of new skills and these new skills are being used to ensure that teachers development programs are effective.

We also evaluate whether they lead to meaningful improvement in the instructional practice’s teachers utilize in the classroom. This programme runs for a short period of 3 months.
